Two Maltese-owned classic cars, a Jaguar XK120 Roadster from 1953 and a Jaguar E-type roadster from 1961, made it big at last month’s Concours D’Elegance 2023 in Holland winning the overall Top Restored Car Award, the Second in Class from the 60’s car era award and an award for best foreign car travelling to the Concours.
Mr Chris Cachia, the owner of the two classic cars and an avid car collector who regularly uses ShipLowCost to order parts for his vehicles, once again entrusted Express Trailers with the transportation of these two magnificent cars.
The two cars, owned by Chris Cachia, were invited to participate in the prestigious event hosted at Paleis Soustdijk in Holland following their winning of the most prestigious awards at this year’s Valletta Concours D ’Elegance 2023 namely the Best of Show and Best Restored Car awards.
“We will always have a soft spot for classic vehicles in fact, we have also supported Malta’s Concours D’Elegance in the past. This is why we are proud to have clients such as Chris entrusting us with their cars for such prestigious events and also delighted to have had a part in Chris’ successful campaign in Holland,” added Antoine Vella, Director and Head of International Operations at Express Trailers.
“Participating in these prestigious competitions is always a logistical feat but I am lucky to have found the support of Express Trailers who organised all the paperwork and logistics from Malta to Holland and back including the loading and unloading of these special cars to and from the Paleis Soustdijk,” said Chris Cachia who has been using Express Trailers’ car transport service for many years.
“With so many aspects of this competition to take care of, having a transport operator such as Express Trailers who not only have a long history of transporting prestigious vintage cars across Europe but who understand the delicate time frames and intricacies involved with such operations was of immense support,” concluded Mr Cachia.
